Neurokind Artist Residencies
Neurokind hosts 3-4 virtual Artist Residencies each year to highlight neurodivergent artists across a range of creative pursuits.
The specific titles (Artist in Residence, Poet in Residence, Playwright in Residence, etc.) will be tailored to each individual and the type of work they would like to create for the residency.
The year long residency will follow a creative project from beginning to end. Artists will share their creative process throughout the year. Residency updates will be sent out once a season (roughly every 3 months.) Submissions can be in any medium including blog style posts, podcast, or video.
Artists are also asked to offer a workshop, artist talk, or happening at some point during their residency. This may take the form that is most accessible to them (prerecorded video, podcast, live Zoom, printable PDF, or something completely outside the box.)
Near the end of the year (November / December) the artists will have the opportunity to exhibit or publish their work through Neurokind. This will likely be virtual, unless we have more financial support than expected.
How to Apply
To be considered for a residency you must submit your work to Neurokind. At that time you can choose whether or not you would be open to a residency.
Residencies are run on a volunteer basis and do not provide a stipend at this time.
