Consistency is overrated. Don’t let neurotypical standards get you down. Show up in a way that works for you. (I’ve just switched from weekly to monthly on my main Substack as weekly was too much.)
This sounds so cool! I will definitely be donating come payday. I'm a speculative fiction novelist, haiku poet, sometimes essayist as well as a textile and collage artist. My Substack about unusual creativity is here (https://hiragi.substack.com/) which also houses the fortnightly chapters of my gothic horror novel. I noodle about on disability, writing and short fiction currently at Medium here (https://medium.com/@hollyjwoods ) I have ADHD, a few migrainoid conditions and possible bipolar II.
This is so amazing! I hope I can be a part of it! I picked up a paintbrush for the first time when I was waiting for an unrelated donor stem cell transplant to cure a rare form of lymphoma. I’m currently a grad student in the art therapy and clinical counseling programs at Emporia State University. I’m leaning more into being neurodivergent since starting these programs and being surrounded by neurodivergent classmates and saying me too! I always thought I was weird or strange or abnormal. It has been incredibly healing to find spaces where *I* belong. I’ve always been on the outside looking in and now I feel like there are some places where I’m right in the middle of the party! This is awesome! I write articles about autism and neurodiversity and enjoy sharing my lived experiences after my late diagnosis. https://medium.com/@autieadventures
SO excited about this 🙌
Me tooooooooo!
This is great. I haven't written directly about my experience. Yet. This feels like it's going to be a safe space to do that.
Yes, absolutely.
This is truly amazing and I’m so excited about it!
Thank you Rebekah! I’m excited too. 🥳
This looks amazing! Really looking forward to it 🤗
Thank you Lexi! So glad to have you on board.
I'm so curious about this! I love the community and connection aspect! I like to include visuals in some of my writing. Here's one example: https://purposefulconnection.substack.com/p/how-to-nurture-new-beliefs
Yessss!!! Please submit one of these. 🖤🖤🖤
I just might! I started working on one that relates to weaving... thanks for the inspiration!
This will be so cool! I'm looking forward to it. I am trying to start writing consistently again, but it's in fits and starts. My stuff is here:
