Hi! I saw on the Submission page under the “No Rejections” sections that we can publish submitted work on our own Substacks. Are we able to do that after the submission deadline or can we do that beforehand? And does that mean we can submit something we’ve *already* published on our own Substacks? Maybe I’m overthinking but just wondering how it’s possible for you to review and see that submissions entered on X day but weren’t published elsewhere until Y day (after submission). Or is that not necessary?
Great question Irina! So Neurokind is a non exclusive agreement - meaning you can publish elsewhere (before or after.) Many literary magazines by contrast want to debut new work that hasn’t been published before. Whereas I would love to amplify work you’ve already published if it’s a good fit for the theme.
This is wonderful! I noticed on the submission page (https://tally.so/r/nPOAdx) that an Instagram account is required. I don't have an IG account; may I still submit? Thanks!
Thanks for asking! It was linked above, but I could probably make that more clear with a big “submit here” button. 🥰 Here’s the link: https://tally.so/r/nPOAdx
Maybe a synonym or related word? Combine, knot, tangle, braid, entwine, merge... or a play with the opposite concept... unraveling? There’s scope to make it your own. 🌀
This is super exciting and something I would definitely like to be a part of! I will definitely be submitting something and I can feel the ideas related to the word ‘weave’ already bubbling up 🫧
B E A U T I F U L - I can’t wait to paint some colours here! ✨ 🎨
Haha! Bring it on! 🌈💫
This is so exciting! Do you have any guidelines on length for written works?
Good question! I’ll update the guidelines, but Neurokind is very open to works of any length.
This is such an exhilarating project full of amazing work.
I'd love to clarify: is there an open call happening right now, and closing on September 1st?
Yes, indeed! Thanks for asking. I hadn’t realized the above was outdated.

Thanks SO much for clarifying, Sarah! Yeah, the lit mags example is why I asked. Your answer was very helpful :)

Oh, it shouldn’t be! I’ve just taken a look and I think I’ve fixed it now, but let me know if you have any more trouble. 🖤
Thank you kindly! It’s fixed. 😊
I love this theme! How do we go about submitting? (Written work, in my case)

I promise I read it twice before asking…! Looking forward to submitting.
What a hard word 😩
But liking this idea a lot! 😊

So nice to meet you Hannah! Love that the ideas are already bubbling. 🥰
