Write Your Heart Out (Livestream)
Hosted by Writer-in-Residence
A deep dive into writing strands of your life for a memory box, diary, gifts or your blog/ newsletter.
I’ve always been a writer. I wrote a tonne when I was small and then told myself I wasn’t good enough and stopped.
I picked it up again in 2017 and have written memory journals for my kids, blogs, newsletters and books. My newsletters are read by over 12,000 people and the book I realised last year became an Amazon best seller in its first week.
I’m delighted to share some gentle, creative exercises to get you thinking about how you might write some of your life onto the page.
No experience necessary. Join me with your favourite journal and let’s write some dreams onto the page.
The remaining workshops will be prerecorded so you can participate in your own time.
Make Something, You’ll Feel Better!
Hosted by Artist-in-Residence Richelle Shadoan
Easy ways to maintain a creative practice that fits your life and soothes your mental health.
Embodiment & Self Regulation Through Poetry
Hosted by Poet-in-Residence
I’ll share a short guided relaxation mindfulness practice and then guide you through a writing exercise.
Following the Water: A Journey in Intuitive Painting
Hosted by
Discover the meditative and transformative process of intuitive watercolor painting in this immersive workshop. Together, we’ll explore how to let go of control and follow the natural flow of water and pigment to create expressive, abstract art.
Whether your inspiration comes from nature, personal stories, or the simple beauty of color and movement, this journey invites you to trust your instincts and embrace the unexpected.
This workshop is open to both experienced artists and curious beginners. Using approachable techniques like wet-on-wet painting and layering, you’ll learn how to co-create with water and gravity to guide your process. By the end, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your creative voice and a renewed connection to your artistic intuition.
How Do Art and Mental Health Intersect For You? Exploring, Expressing and Empowering.
Hosted by
We all live on a spectrum of health and a spectrum of creativity and this intersects for each of us in unique ways. In this workshop, you'll be invited into a creative process for exploring what this intersection means for you.
I'll provide a series of questions/prompts which you can respond to in any format that feels right - poetry or prose, collage or photography, music or sound. Through understanding how health and creativity relate for us right now, we are able to celebrate the strengths within our creative process and make space for the parts we find more difficult. This can open up new ways of creating or simply new gentleness with ourselves around the ebb and flow.
Everyone who participates will have the option to have their responses published as informal interviews on
, with no obligation at all to do so. You don't even have to share what you create with me if you don't want to. Whatever is right for you at this time is right for the process. This webinar will be the first in a series of ongoing 2025 workshops. Thanks to everyone who has supported this project. I’m excited to connect in real time very soon!

Cheers,
P.S. This is the final Neurokind event planned for 2024. I need to reserve a lot of bandwidth for publishing projects going to print this year (Entwined, Ember & How it Feels to Me.) And, in an effort to protect my mental health, I will also be carving out more time to make art away from the computer screen. If you’d like to keep in touch you can subscribe to my virtual zine here. I’ll keep this space open as an archive and may return when I have more capacity.
